Building upon a foundation of Truth

Jesus teaches about the “daily” PATH of Christianity.  With all the distractions and “detours” along The Way, it is easy to become confused and get “off track”.  The anchor to finding the right path is GODLY CHARACTER.  As children make the transition to young adults, they are naturally given more and more freedom to make choices.  It’s from these choices that their lives begin to “take shape”.  Scripture teaches us that GODLY CHARACTER is the anchor to remaining on the PATH.  “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight”.

The SFR Summer Camp Curriculum for Ranch Campers (ages 13-17) addresses the motivation of our daily choices and the necessity of GODLY CHARACTER.  At the very core of FINDING the right PATH is the ability to think “outside” of ourselves.  “It’s not always about me.”  Christianity is not a “self-help” program.  From Jesus’ example we see that Christianity is always about considering others first.  To follow Him is to follow his example.

Our primary message to Ranch Campers

“Daily life on Earth includes struggles.  To think otherwise is fantasy.”

“God loves me in the midst of the struggles.”

“Most struggles are the result of having to ‘work with’ other people.”

“God uses these struggles with others to teach me about myself.”

“The only way to successfully function in the midst of struggles is to become like Christ.”
