Laying a Foundation of TRUTH:

Who is God and What is He like?  Who am I?

At this early age, security is crucial as we develop ideas about how life works.  What is “real” and what is TRUTH?

TRUTH is based on Gods character and God’s Word alone.  It is not defined by TV, Video Games, the media or what little Susie told me at recess. When the seeds of TRUTH begin to be sown into a child’s heart, immediately there is a battle that begins between this TRUTH and what they hear and see in “their world”.   “Making sense” of everything is a real challenge.

The SFR Summer Camp Curriculum for Treehouse Village Campers (ages 8-12) addresses this challenge with a deliberate focus on TRUTH as defined by God.  This is the anchor and foundation that allows children to remain stable in the ever-shifting currents of culture.

Our foundational message to our Treehouse Village Campers

“God is the Creator of all things and He never changes.”

“God knows you personally and loves you very much.”

“God has a plan for you to do wonderful and exciting things in your life.”

“You are unique and special and you are loved as a child of God.”

“God put you into a family to help you learn about His Kingdom.”
